FocusFlow vs one sec: a pause or a lock?

one sec puts a short pause in front of an app, which breaks the reflex of opening it. FocusFlow keeps the app locked until you finish a task and prove it with a photo. If a pause is enough for you, one sec is lighter. If you get through the pause anyway, FocusFlow is the stronger lock.

one sec

When you open a chosen app, one sec shows a short breathing pause and asks whether you still want to go in. It doesn't stop you. It makes the choice deliberate, which is enough for many people's habit-checking.

FocusFlow

You pick the apps that get locked. You add the tasks you need to do. When you finish a task, you take a photo of it, an AI model checks the photo against the task, and you earn 15 minutes by default. The minutes count down only while you are in the locked apps, and when they run out the apps lock again, even if FocusFlow is closed. Once every task for the day is done, the apps stay open for the rest of the day.

Which to pick

  • You open apps without thinking but stop once you notice: one sec.
  • You notice, and open them anyway: FocusFlow.
